DKH Academy is a dual accredited private school serving children from Preschool through Grade 2 in Highland Village, Texas. We hold accreditation from both NAEYC and Cognia, two nationally recognized organizations that set rigorous standards for educational quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Founded in 1979, DKH has supported thousands of families through a nurturing, play based approach that develops the whole child. Our program blends academic readiness with social emotional growth through hands on learning, small class sizes, and experienced degreed educators. Children explore literacy, math, science, art, Spanish immersion, and outdoor nature based learning in an environment designed to build confidence, curiosity, and independence. DKH is the first Nature Explore Certified playground in Texas and the only NAEYC accredited early childhood school in Denton County.
