About

St. Joseph High School is a private Catholic high school (Grades 9-12) guided by an independent Board of Directors and grounded in more than 150 years of educational excellence. From its founding, St. Joseph has been committed to educating the whole student—academically, spiritually, and socially—while offering meaningful extracurricular opportunities that help students grow in confidence, character, and leadership. Founded in 1868 by Reverend Augustine Gardet, St. Joseph High School began as a school for young men and has continually evolved to meet the needs of each new generation. The Society of Mary assumed leadership in 1906, followed by the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament in 1970. During this time, St. Joseph entered a collaborative partnership with Nazareth Academy, sharing faculty and facilities. In 1975, St. Joseph proudly became a coeducational high school. Today, under the guidance of the St. Joseph High School Board of Directors, STJ continues its mission of providing a faith-centered, student-focused education that prepares young people for success in college, career, and life.
